Massachusetts Elks Association Makes Donation to The Medford Center

Tony Piccolo of the Massachusetts Elks Association presented a check for $1,000 to The Community Family’s Medford Center last month. It is the second consecutive year Tony has made a generous donation to TCF in his position as First Vice President of the MA Elks State Association. The Community Family, Inc.

The Community Family (TCF) was founded in Everett, MA in 1978 with a $20,000 grant and borrowed space. It was founded by a group of local families and professionals who were concerned about the few community options available at that time. The Everett center was one of Massachusetts’ first adult day health centers and quickly demonstrated the effectiveness and affordability of community-based long term care services – a novel approach at the time.
